WHAT ANN’S STUDENTS ARE SAYING

Trusted by 200+ Families, helping students become confident, and shine in high school band.

Ann Taught Me From 6th - 12th Grade

"I took lessons on flute and piccolo with Ann from the 6th grade through my senior year in High School. She mentored me through 2 instruments, leadership positions, and always challenged me to be a better musician. I definitely wouldn’t have accomplished as much as I did in my schools program without her continuous support and guidance!"

Ann Gave My Daughter Confidence

"My daughter was fortunate to have Ann as her teacher for many years! Ann is very knowledgeable and excellent at explaining things to her students. She was very patient and encouraging. Ann didn't just teach her about the playing the flute, but gave her the confidence she needed to be successful. I can't recommend her highly enough!"

Ann Helped Me Become Section Leader

"Ann is a great teacher! When I was in HS I wanted to play in the marching band, and she was able to get me playing flute at a high school level in half a year. She was also very helpful once I was in the band helping me get even better at the Flute. I was even able to become a section leader my senior year due to her teaching. She was always very kind and patient with me while I was learning. The skills she taught led me to playing in my college’s marching band, and I’m still playing flute in a local community band even after graduating."

It’s simply a more efficient way to get the same great results.

Online lessons are very simple to set up.

Most families already have everything they need at home:

- A flute or piccolo

- A music stand

- A computer, tablet, or phone with a camera

- FaceTime (or Google Meet / Zoom / etc)

- Internet connection

- A quiet place to play

That’s it. No special equipment required. Ann will also help you set everything up easily during your first lesson.

Most students continue using the music they already play in school band.

Ann may recommend Technique exercises, Etude books, Sight-reading materials, etc. These are widely available resources, most of which Ann will provide digitally at no cost.

These lessons are designed primarily for middle school and high school flute students. (Adult students are also welcome).

The lessons are especially helpful for students who:

- Want to move up in band chair placement

- Want to improve tone and technique

- Need help with faster fingerings and clearer articulation

- Want to feel more confident performing

Students can be beginner level, intermediate, or advanced. Many want to improve for high school band, or simply enjoy playing more.

That is actually very common, and these lessons are designed specifically for those students.

Ann’s teaching style is kind, patient, joyful, and encouraging, helping students feel comfortable while gradually building their confidence.

After the first lesson jitters (common feelings of nervousness when doing something new), most parents say their child looks forward to lessons each week.

This length works well for middle school and high school students because it allows focused improvement while keeping lessons engaging and productive.

Longer lessons are also available for advanced students, additional band commitments, or those preparing for music school auditions.

Lesson pricing is discussed during your free consultation call so we can determine the best lesson length for your student’s goals and schedule.
