Bio
Ann Dunnington is a central Ohio native, who has been a private music teacher of flute/piccolo and clarinet since 2000. With degrees in Music Education and Flute Performance, Ann is currently a flute player with the New Albany Symphony Orchestra and the Westerville Symphony. She has played with various other ensembles, including the Cap-Bexley Orchestra, Central Ohio Symphony, Southestern Ohio Symphony, WindWorks Chamber Ensemble, at numerous Central Ohio churches, and has been a featured guest flute soloist with the American Guild of Organists and at the Hocking Hills Poetry Festival. Ann has also performed on stage for an audience of 10,000 with the multi-platinum selling rock band '311'. Her private teachers have included Lea Pearson, Karen Dawson, Kara Highland, Melody Jones, and Lisa Jelle, and she has participated in master classes given by Randall Hester, Bonita Boyd, Roger Martin, Diane Fiocca, Katherine Borst Jones, among others.
Ann currently teaches flute/piccolo and clarinet lessons to students of all ages and abilities online, and is a member of the Ohio Music Education Association, Music Teachers National Association, and the National Flute Association.
